Oct/Nov/Dec: Making the Most of the Holidays
The holiday season is the best opportunity you’ll have to this
year to remind your clients that you can help reduce their stress. And
it’s an even better time to remind them that you have gift certificates
to make gift-giving easy.
Once you are organized for the winter season, take a moment to breathe — and
review your business year.
Let’s talk about how people find you.
- First, if your name, phone number and other contact information is
not on every piece of paper you hand out, pin up or mail, this is your
first priority! People need to associate your name with your wonderful
services.
- Take a look at your marketing materials.
Do you have an attractive business card? Do you include it every
time you send a card or business letter? Is your contact information
easy to spot on your flyers, brochures and other materials?
- Make sure that people can find your information easily when they
need it. This is where professional personalization becomes really
important. We would love you to use our personalization services to
print your contact information distinctively and professionally. But
however you choose to do it, providing this information clearly and
attractively is vital.

of personalization.
Gift certificates bring in new people, and can make a beautiful
first impression. But there’s a trick. You have to tell clients
how gift certificates can help them! They have to know that gift certificates
are easy to acquire — and will please most everyone on their list.
- As soon as your gift certificates arrive, put up your office display.
- To really create some excitement, mail
out a promotional that’s
too good to pass up. For example, you can mail a postcard or an actual
gift certificate to regular clients, telling them they can use it
to add a free half-hour to their next session if they buy two more.
Or choose some other offer you can afford to give.

with Gift Certificate Sales."
Now that you are ready for the holidays…get ready
for ’07. Look back at the old year, and plan for the new. It helps
in personal life — and it’s a must in business!
- First, review the results of your marketing
strategies. What did your clients respond to? If you mailed a postcard
promotional, what happened? Did you receive ten calls for more information
about the gift certificate packages you mentioned? Then plan a Valentine’s
mailing that will have a similar message. Did you send a promotional
mailing too close to a holiday to get your desired results? Adjust
your marketing strategy accordingly.
- Ask yourself, “What worked best to increase my business?” Write
down five ways to build on those things.
