Review your Massage Marketing
Plan —
Last January we suggested you take inventory of your practice. Now that
it’s December, here are those questions again. Take a look at them,
and think about how your answers have changed over the year.
- How many sessions would you prefer to give in your ideal week?
- Who are your ideal clients? What do you
like about working with them? (For
more on working with your ideal client, see last month's article.)
- What do you like about where you are practicing? What would you like
to change?
Now look at the calendar you started as part of the strategic marketing
plan. Did you complete the tasks on the calendar? What changes did you
make in your practice that have worked out well? (See February's “Getting
in the Marketing Mindset.”)
If you didn’t complete some of the tasks, review them and determine
if they still seem like good steps to take. Begin your ’07 calendar,
and add those tasks including completion dates.
If you completed your tasks, great! Now where do you want to go? What
could you try that’s new or that would set you apart? How can you
build on the progress you made?
- Send a client newsletter to keep in touch and share valuable information
that clients can read and pass on to friends.
- Venture out into your community to give talks on the benefits of your
services. Community groups are always looking for unique and noteworthy
presentations.
- Reach out with a personal touch. Mail referral cards or letters notifying
other health care providers about your valuable work. Send thank you
cards for referrals you have received.
These are just a few strategies you can add to your marketing plan to
spur growth and increase the quality of your practice this year. Spend
some time thinking about the best next steps for you. Then add them to
your upcoming year's marketing calendar, and begin.
