The other day Beth asked me a good question. She wanted to know if I would include a link to her site on our blogroll. (A blogroll is a list of web addresses that a blog author thinks you and other readers will find useful.)

I love that she asked. Marketing Matter’s blogroll will focus on business building sites and blogs that I think you’ll find useful

Beth’s site is about her business so I won’t put it on the roll.

BUT her question poked an obvious idea into my brain.

I’d like to invite you send me your own business sites and blogs. Or sites/blogs that you just like. They don’t have to be healing arts related. It’s a great opportunity to share your favorites.

I’ll pick out the shining examples and publish a list of them at least once a month.

AND I’m putting together the Marketing Matter’s blogroll. I’m focusing primarily on sites and blogs that are dedicated to building business. If you have any that you find useful and visit frequently, shoot me an email or leave a comment. Every day I think I’ve found all the healing arts business sites and every day I find one more goody.

And since we’re on the subject, I’ve been reading a lot of blog entries lately about why someone in the healing arts field would need a website. Most of these entries are from businesses that want to build and/or host a site for you. This isn’t a bad thing, you just need to keep that in mind.

I think you should have a site.

Frankly, it’s how most of us pre-judge businesses these days in addition to being the way most of us look for information. A web site has become the legitimizer.

When you decide to build a site, you will save a lot of time, frustration and money if you have a clear idea of how you want it to look and how you want to express the way you approach healing. The best way to do this is to see what’s out there and keep track of what appeals to you.

All my best,
Eileen

Forecast: Check in Thursday. I feel like talking about web content. It’s sort of like a mix between a postcard and a newsletter. I have thoughts.
