Hi Eileen,
I can't agree with you more. It's only natural that after years of experience in the field the professionals turn the learning into a business initiative!

Have a nice day!

Hi Karen –

THANK YOU for chiming in. And thank you for the insight into the evolution of your business aspect. It's always interesting and ... comforting (?) to know these things.

The plan was to email you if I hadn't heard from you by Monday. I was hoping more people would take the opportunity and ask questions.

In this entry, I attempted to walk a balanced line between practitioner and marketing service provider. It's hard to do without sounding stilted and apologetic. I wanted to address Beth's questions and talk about massage marketing services *in general*.

To reiterate, all I knew about you (until your comment) is that you write well and, from what I can find about you on the web, you have an idea about how to run a business. (BTW, cool blog layout: http://massagemarketingmadeeasy.com/blog/). I don't think you're a scam at'all, at'all.

By all means, let's chat. marketingmatters@comcast.net

All my best,
Eileen

Hi

Since this seems to be about me, I thought I'd chip in :)
It's not a scam - I used to be a health professional - qualified in the UK, hence I can't practice over here without renewing my license... What I found I loved about running a health practice was the actual business side, so that's why I'm now focused solely on that side. I was good at the health therapy and have even been published in JMPT, however, I genuinely love the business aspect and figure I can be more use to others love genuinely love the therapy side of things.

Before doing the health practice stuff I was a marketing consultant and did work for loads of companies from sole practitioners right through to Walt Disney.

What the kit is based on is what I took several small businesses through last year and managed to triple the massage therapist's income in 9 weeks.

Hopefully that answers your questions! I'm more than happy to answer any others you have if I can help at all :)

Go, Beth! Whew!

Okay, gang, I suggest that you ask questions about how a massage marketing service can help you. As in:
Will you help me create a letter outline for reaching out to the medical community?
Do you have a list of sources where I can find gift certificates or stationary?
How do you prefer to communicate: phone? email? IM?
Do you have a list of clients I can contact before contracting with you?

Stuff like that ...

Told ya I'd have more as soon as I sent!

I realise I need to "sell the sizzle, not the steak," but it seems that we're somewhat hamstrung by what we can and cannot legally claim. It's not easy to balance what I know with what I'm allowed to say, and I don't want to overstep my scope of practice with my ads. If I "cool it" far enough that I'm not worried about Dr. Smith turning me in to the board, it sounds so wishy-washy I'm surprised anyone lets me touch them at all! I need help to figure out a balance for this!

Again, thanks so much Eileen.
