Natural-Life.ca is a Canadian directory of organic grocers, organic farms, natural health practitioners and organic restaurants near Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. They have this blog (updated weekly) which features natural health articles from around the world. I spent a couple hours reading through it last week. Take a look.

Here’s a couple things I collected this month. It’s pretty light. We’ve been getting our winter flyer together and taking turns going on vacation.

Websites:

Fran is a regular commenter on this blog and she has an insanely beautiful website. You need to take a look. FusionTherapySpa.com

Alternative Growth Streams, Inc. is fairly recent company founded by Randi Drinkwater (“Drinkwater” is such a cool name). Randi is a business and marketing smartypants who came to alternative therapies as so many do; she had a health challenge that usual Western medicine couldn’t provide a solution to. She has gathered a lot of other business smartypantses to help develop the site and products. I haven’t seen samples of the newsletters yet, but It looks like they walk you through things like marketing your blog and how to do the most effective mailings you can. This is not your usual massage marketing site. It’s rather left brained and without a whiff of essential oils. Has anyone used them? Report!

Here’s some bits and pieces to finish out the month of June.

AlternativeHealthPractice.com is a happy partnership; Dan is a writer, Tara is an ND. Together, they’ve created a positive, useful, heartening site for CAM practitioners. I recommend subscribing.

Prokinetics.co.uk has a very different look and feel to their site. It’s clean with a lot of white space. I’m not certain who their target audience is, but I’m willing to bet it’s urban/professional.

Towards the end of my last entry I said I thought you should have a website. You should have one for the same reason you should have a business card or be listed in the phone book; it legitimizes you and your practice.

The only person I know at present who is in the middle of creating a site is my sister.

My sister, Margaret, is a schmancy, smarty-pants speech and language pathologist. I won’t try to describe what she does exactly because she says I always get it wrong and I know she’ll flood my comment box with corrections (don’t deny it, Margie). It is a healing art, though, so there is relevance.

The other day Beth asked me a good question. She wanted to know if I would include a link to her site on our blogroll. (A blogroll is a list of web addresses that a blog author thinks you and other readers will find useful.)

I love that she asked. Marketing Matter’s blogroll will focus on business building sites and blogs that I think you’ll find useful

Beth’s site is about her business so I won’t put it on the roll.

BUT her question poked an obvious idea into my brain.
